Athletic Updates: Tonight's varsity track meet at MCE has been Cancelled. Tomorrow's varsity baseball game vs Gaylord St. Mary has been cancelled. On Monday, varsity baseball/softball will now play Roscommon at home. Tuesday's varsity golf meet at Pentwater has been cancelled. All other athletic practices/contests will resume as regularly scheduled. Covid testing will now take place on Monday afternoons prior to each teams individual practices. Please have your student-athletes coordinate with their coaches for more information on Monday testing. These are challenging times but we will prevail! Go Bulldogs!

JR/SR High Parents: Tomorrow, April 8th, will be a virtual day and students will have assignments to complete in each of their google classrooms. Beginning on Friday April 9th, students will need to attend live sessions with their teachers every day until the 21st. I will send the schedule of remote learning sessions to you via email and I will post it on Facebook and the website later today or tomorrow morning. Please keep in mind that the remote learning sessions are required and students will be earning credit toward grade level advancement and graduation. CTC students can continue to attend CTC if they have their own transportation. If they do not have transportation, they should reach out to their CTC instructor for assignments. Athletic practices and competitions will continue, but students will need to find their own transportation.

Dear Parents,   I hate to inform you that we had a staff member test positive for Covid 19.  Due to this positive test, Mesick Consolidated Schools will need to go virtual/remote learning until Wednesday, April 21.  Students can return to school on Wednesday, April 21.   This positive test has created a staffing shortage due to staff quarantines.  Again, this closure is not due to a large number of positive cases but due to a staffing shortage.   We will have limited transportation after school today.  Please plan on arranging pick up for your children from school and contact the school office regarding child pick up.  We apologize for this inconvenience.     There will be more information from the schools and district coming this afternoon.

Hello Bulldogs! We still have leftovers of the Worlds Finest Chocolate bunnies and chocolate almonds from the PTO fundraiser. They will be available in the elementary office today from 10:00am-12:00 noon. They are marked down to $5 per box. They make a great gift for Easter! One hundred percent of the proceeds go back to our kids.

Our Girls Varsity Basketball team will be taking on Frankfort tonight at 6pm in Mesick for a District Championship! Tickets will be available at noon at gofan.co There will not be a code requirement for these tickets. For those unable to attend, the game will be live streamed via the Mesick Consolidate Schools Facebook page. Go Bulldogs!

First Graders "Cuddle Up with a Good Book". Celebrating reading month in our PJs with our stuffed animal friends.

The last few weeks 1st graders have had the SEEDS program come and share about nutrition. They teach kids about making healthy choices and how to make these things at home. The best part, the taste testing!

Reminder of Spring Break Meal Pick-Up Behind the elementary school from 3:30-4:15 while supplies last!

Today first graders got to have a virtual reality field trip. We visited far away places and the habitats we just learned about.

Mesick Elementary has a stockpile of World's Finest Chocolate bunnies and chocolate almonds leftover from the PTO Fundraiser. They are marked down to $5 per box. Stop by the elementary office and grab your bunnies before they hop away! The office will be open until 4:15 pm today (3/25) and 1:15 pm Friday, 3/26

📕 Books for Kids 📘 Each child in the Elementary building had the opportunity to select 2 books to take home for there very own this week. Ask your child about their book picks as they were very excited to share them with me.

Tickets for tonight's girls District Semi-Final game are now available at https://gofan.co/search. Just search for Mesick and the game vs Manistee Catholic Central will pop up. From there, select the number of tickets and then select "Get Tickets." There is no longer an access code needed to purchase tickets. Please remember student sections are not allowed at MHSAA tournaments and masks will be required at all times. Go Bulldogs!

Tonight's boys basketball game will be live streamed by Houghton Lake schools at hlcsk12.net. The game will also be broadcast via the radio on 93.7. Make sure to tune in as our boys look to bring home a first round district win for the first time since 2011. Go Bulldogs!

Congratulations to our boys varsity basketball team who earned a share of the WMD Conference Championship Friday night with a 71-47 win over Pentwater! If you are interested in attending the boys district game in Houghton Lake tomorrow, tickets are still available. The game will begin at 7pm vs Lake City at Houghton Lake High School. Tickets for the girls district game will be available starting tomorrow and they will take on the winner of MCC/Brethren at 5:30 pm on Wednesday in Mesick. Hello Bulldogs, Don't forget that March is reading month and the elementary is participating in the Traverse City Pit Spitters Reading Club. Students must read for 15 minutes a day throughout the month and submit their completed "bookmarks" to receive free tickets to a TC Pit Spitters game.
