FULL or PART-TIME SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
Qualifications:
K-12 Special Education Certification required – current opening in elementary school
Must be knowledgeable of State Standards and strategies to meet the academic, developmental, and social-emotional needs of students
Competency in the administration and interpretation of academic testing and development of behavior support plans
Ability to establish and maintain positive, effective, and long lasting relationships with students, peers, parents, and community
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (oral and written)
Strong understanding of the use of technology in educational setting
Support and participate in all district and building level school improvement initiatives and plans
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practice and student achievement
Evidence of commitment to reflective practice and professional growth
Evidence of professional work habits and conduct consistent with the ethics of the profession

TEMPORARY 1-YEAR PARAPROFESSIONAL POSITION
Location: Floyd M Jewett Elementary School
Position: Temporary, 1-year paraprofessional position
Schedule: 7 hours per day while school is in session. Hours are determined by the building principal.
Duration: One-year, 23g grant-funded position
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math and ELA Tutor to support students in grades K-5. The tutor will work closely with classroom teachers to provide individualized and small-group instruction in Math and English Language Arts (ELA). This position is designed to help students achieve academic success and build strong foundational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted small group and one-on-one tutoring in Math and ELA to students in grades K-5.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement effective tutoring.
Track student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Communicate regularly with teachers and school administration regarding student progress.
Qualifications:
Experience working with elementary school students, particularly in Math and ELA instruction.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping young learners succeed.
An Associate’s Degree or 2 years (60 credits) of university study in education or related field is desired.
