A BIG thank you to Erma Hensel, Rose Clous, St. Raphael Church, Pam McPherson for your art donations! The students appreciate your support!
If you make a donation, please attach your name. We love giving shout outs!
What is the reason for an Jump-a-thon?
We understand budgets are tighter, so rather than the traditional catalog fundraiser that requires us to split the profits in the fundraiser company’s favor, Mesick Elementary has replaced their fundraising with a Jump-a-Thon. This will allow parents and business community to donate directly to Mesick Elementary, so we can provide the services and programs that enrich our elementary students’ school experience. New prize incentives will be available for your child to earn. It’s also a great opportunity to educate our Bulldogs about physical fitness, while supporting a good cause for their school community.

Mr. Redman and Mr. Nimcheski took the 6th grade students out to pick up trash around the JR/SR High on Earth Day yesterday. They did a great job cleaning up our little corner of this amazing planet.
Happy Earth Day! We learned a lot about how to take care of our one and only Earth today. We took a walk around the school and picked up a lot of trash and things that could be recycled. Great job 1st Grade, you all make this earth a better place!

After wrapping up our government unit in Social Studies, we participated in a “mock” trial. The case was the 3 Bears vs Gold E. Locks. The third graders really enjoyed being part of a trial where they got to decide if Gold E. Locks was guilty of bad manners.
Grass Heads were so much fun at Family Activity Night. I cannot wait to see what they look like when they grow “hair”. Please post some pictures of your end results!
Have I mentioned how much I love hands on learning?! So glad we have some tools so kids can experience lessons to the fullest.

Just a friendly reminder, that in an effort to help alleviate the weather days that we will need to be make up in June, Mesick will be having school for a whole day this Friday, April 19. Attendance is important, please have your child ready for a day of learning. We need to have at least 75% in attendance in order to count the day. I am looking forward to seeing the kids on Friday!
