Student artwork was on display last night for the Spring Arts Festival. A variety of work was on display. Students have worked very hard this year!
We hope everyone has had a great week! A couple athletic reminders/announcements: Tonight we have JV/V Softball both playing at 4:15 pm vs Glen Lake and Manton and Varsity baseball at 7:00 pm vs Manton. This is the final home game for both varsity teams so make sure to come out and support the team and the Seniors! Also, Monday will be the final regular season game for the Mesick/Buckley girls co-op soccer team. The game is at Buckley vs Kingsley at 5:00 pm. This will also be Senior night for Goaltender Rachael Wienclaw who will be furthering her soccer career next year at Muskegon Community College. Have a great weekend!
Tenth grade students visited CMU today for an admissions presentation, campus tour, and lunch. It was interesting to hear about the many opportunities available for students at CMU & to see the campus facilities.
Mark your calendars for our upcoming Family Reading Night for K-3 students. May 30, 2019 at 5:30 we will be kicking off our K-3 summer reading program. Students will receive their first 3 free books and enjoy some cookies and milk.
HS Art students volunteered to do Face Painting for the Friday Night Street Fair for the Mesick Mushroom Festival! Student volunteers included: Britney Nelson, Halle Phillips, Alyssa Trowbridge and Kaylea Rogers.
Mesick Elementary: Reading Tutoring Program
Last day of tutoring for the year will be May 23, 2019.
Mr. Castillo's wood working students did very well at the MITES competition. We had many students place in regional and the state competition. Take a look at some of their beautiful projects.
At the Mesick Jr/Sr High School someone pulled a fire alarm. We had the fire department respond to ensure everything was clear before we had students reenter the building. Everything was all clear and the school is back to normal and all students are safe.

Mesick Consolidated School's official last day of school will be Tuesday, June 18 with a noon dismissal for students.
Mr. Nimcheski’s 6h grade science students are building greenhouses for their strawberry plants out of repurposed materials. Once complete, they will measure the area, record temperatures, and calculate average (mean) temperature. The goal is to better understand how the sun and atmosphere interact. Science in action!
