It was a successful week for our Mesick student-athletes who were finally able to get back in to action for the first time since March 9th! On Wednesday, our JH Cross Country team competed in Cadillac. Gunner Hallett (6th grade) and Bryce Akom (8th grade) each placed in the top 10 in their division. Cody Linna (7th) was able to go the distance and bring home first place for the Bulldogs! Last night, our JV Volleyball team fell in two close sets with Brethren while the varsity swept three straight sets against the Bobcats. The sets went 25-9, 25-21, and 25-16. Great Job to all involved. Our JH Volleyball girls take the court on Monday/Wednesday next week with JV/V Volleyball playing on Thursday. JV Football will be playing Thursday at Marion while the Varsity Football team will look to defend their conference championship at home on Friday night vs Marion. Please remember, at this point we are only allowing two spectators per participant at home events. As the season progresses, we will be looking at opening up the events to more spectators if possible. But again, for now there are restrictions including social distancing and wearing a mask at all times. We should have a streaming service up and running by next week so anyone who wants to tune in, will be able to watch the contests live via YouTube. Have a great weekend and Go Bulldogs!

Just a reminder that tomorrow is picture day for 6th-12th grade. Order forms were sent home in August, or you can order online. Information for online ordering is available on Facebook and our Live Feed on the website.

Hello Everyone,
We are in desperate need of bus drivers. This is a good job with competitive pay and benefits. Please contact Mesick Schools and join the Bulldog Family. Please pass this along!

Fall Sports Update: Football is back! The MHSAA has officially reintroduced Football back into the Fall 2020 schedule. There are a lot of moving parts but JH, JV, and Varsity officially begin practice today. JV/V will continue to have practice right after school while the JH will practice from 5-7 pm. JV/V football will resume games next week with their regularly scheduled opponents (this can change, please check the Mesick app frequently to stay on top of changes). We will update everyone whenever there is a change to the schedule or an update on a procedure. Junior High players who did not have a physical last year will need one before starting practice. Their first game is currently scheduled for Wednesday, September 23rd. Also, please be aware that attendance for all home/away games will be limited to two guests per participant. This means each participant in Volleyball/Football/Cross Country will be given two tickets that they will then disburse to family/friends. You will need these tickets to be allowed to enter contests in Mesick or at an opponent's venue. Because of the limit on attendance, we will be live streaming all of our home contests. Please stay tuned for that link! If there comes an opportunity to add additional spectators at our home events, Mesick will do everything possible to make those accommodations. If you have questions or need clarification on a topic, please do not hesitate to email Coach Duby at dubyk@mesick.org. There are a lot of moving parts and we appreciate your patience as we navigate Fall Sports! Go Bulldogs!!
