Mesick Bulldogs

Mesick Consolidated Schools has a lot to be proud of.   It has been an exciting and rewarding school year.  The students and staff have worked very hard and have been diligent in achieving their goals.  Our seniors are college and career ready and are off to their new adventures.  I always look forward to seeing and hearing about their accomplishments.  I am proud to say that they are learning locally and competing globally.  Mesick has a lot of very successful alumni and we are proud to be a part of their success.

As Mesick Consolidated Schools District bids farewell to the Class of 2018, we will soon be saying goodbye to our retiring staff members.  These administrators, teachers and support staff have earned their community’s gratitude.  They have given of their time and lives most generously to our students and we all appreciate their dedication.  Thank you to Mrs. Cindy Weisse-Jurik, Mrs. Diane Beale and Mr. Chuck Kerner.

I would like to thank all of the voters that voted on May 8th for the school bond elections.  Although the bond failed by ten votes the voter turnout was a lot higher for this election.   I also want to thank community members for all of the emails, phone calls and conversations that I had and have been having regarding the proposal and the district.   Please do not hesitate to call, email or have a conversation with me regarding the district.  If you would like for me to schedule a meeting with a group or organization please let me know.  I would be happy to schedule something.  There has been, and continues to be, a lot of misinformation on social media.  If you see or hear something that you question, please contact me or the building principals.

Be on the lookout; Mesick Consolidated Schools will have a new website and their very own App.  We will keep you informed as the launch date approaches.

I know you would be disappointed if I did not state the following.  Throughout the summer students tend to lose a lot of the academic gain and growth that they achieved throughout the year.  Several ways to try to avoid this loss of academia is to have your child read daily, and talk with them about what they read.  Some families will even read the same novels as their children and discuss the book together.  Math facts are always a good thing to practice.  Let’s make sure that our students have a fun, safe and learning filled summer.

Thank you again to our parents for your partnership in the education of your child.  I hope that the summer break gives you and your student a chance for rejuvenation.  Have a safe, restful and enjoyable summer and I look forward to seeing you on September 4th!

Blessed to be Bulldog,
